THE SPIDER – INSPIRED BY THE 375 MM PININ FARINA SPIDER – 1953. The Ferrari 488 Spider was produced from 2015 to 2019, and it was a variation on the standard version. It was a two-seater hardtop convertible supercar that could hit a top speed of 205 MPH. After promotional photos were released in July 2015, the 488 Spider officially made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show two months later. While its base price is around $281,000, it can easily become more expensive when any of the multiple customization options are added. Both the 488 Spider and the standard version share the same twin-turbocharged V8. While the engine showcases several intriguing characteristics, the exterior’s aerodynamics and the interior’s sportiness were Ferrari’s main focus when creating the 488 Spider.
